SHORT BIO

Winner of the prestigious Prix Opus Concert of the year 2012-2013 « World Music », André Rodrigues specializes in brazilian repertoire, both traditional and classical. He also collaborates with dance and theater artists. Rodrigues did win numerous prizes in national and international guitar competitions and has received grants from the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec and Canada Council for the Arts several times. Artistic director of the Montreal's Guitar Society, Rodrigues also teaches at the University of Montreal and leads a soloist career.
